Solana RWA Metrics Explained: Why RWA.xyz and Tokens.xyz Show Different Tokenized Asset Totals

    Published September 13, 2026

RWA.xyz listed $4.26B in distributed Solana RWA value on Sept. 13, 2026. Solana.com showed $6.9B indexed. The two dashboards measure different things.

Public dashboards for Solana RWA metrics display totals that do not align. A snapshot from RWA.xyz's Networks table on September 13, 2026, lists Solana's RWA total value excluding stablecoins at $4,385,267,974. Solana's official real-world-assets page, captured the prior day, shows $6.9 billion labeled "Tokenized value indexed."

These figures track tokenized assets on Solana but measure distinct concepts. RWA.xyz's Solana network page focuses on real-world assets with specific value types. Solana's real-world-assets page draws from Tokens.xyz data and casts a wider net.

CryptoWorkPro retrieved these snapshots on September 12-13, 2026. The key question centers on definitions, dates, and universes covered, not a single headline total for the size of tokenized assets on Solana.

Why the totals do not match

Solana RWA metrics vary across dashboards because each applies unique rules. RWA.xyz splits tokenized assets into distributed and represented categories. Its default view emphasizes distributed asset value, which reached $4,259,411,669 for Solana on September 13, 2026.

Solana's page lists a higher $6.9 billion tokenized value indexed. This figure lacks a published timestamp or methodology on the page. It ties to Tokens.xyz, which indexes a broader array including crypto assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum tokens alongside RWAs.

Holder counts also differ. RWA.xyz's Networks table listed 565,002 Solana RWA holders on September 13, 2026. Its Solana page listed 563,564 the day before. Both figures are Solana-only live refreshes, not unique people. The same Networks table showed 4,035,504 RWA holders across all networks; that global total is not a Solana count.

    What each metric means

Dashboards define terms precisely. RWA.xyz, per its framework post, labels distributed asset value as the worth of tokenized assets movable to external wallets and transferable between them. This includes tokens with whitelist controls.

Represented asset value covers tokens stuck on the issuing platform. The blockchain serves as a recordkeeping layer only. RWA.xyz defaults to distributed in league tables.

Total asset value multiplies total token supply by issuer-reported net asset value (NAV) per token. RWA.xyz aggregates this because not all assets trade on secondary markets with prices. Market value uses supply times market price where available. NAV comes from issuers; RWA.xyz reports it without adjustment. Updates range from daily for treasuries to rarer for illiquid funds.

RWA count tallies products in a provider's catalog, not unique legal assets or every Solana mint. Tokens.xyz groups multiple mints under one asset page. RWA.xyz counts catalog entries.

RWA holders mean unique addresses with non-zero balances, per on-chain data. Adjusted counts exclude bridges and contracts. Aggregates sum per-token figures, so network totals overcount overlaps. Custodial wallets mask owners.

Transfer volume on RWA.xyz equals USD value of peer-to-peer transfers over 30 days, excluding mints and burns. This skips issuance and redemption. Solana's 24h RWA volume lacks a matching methodology note.

Stablecoins form a separate RWA.xyz series. The Networks table excludes them from Solana's RWA total. A toggle includes them. On-chain supply reports balances but proves no reserves or legal claims. Classification rests with issuers and providers.

    Dated measurements from RWA.xyz

RWA.xyz Networks table, as of September 13, 2026:

    • RWA count: 2,793
    • Distributed RWA value: $4,259,411,669
    • Represented RWA value: $125,856,305
    • Share classified as distributed: 97.1%
    • RWA total value excluding stablecoins: $4,385,267,974
    • RWA holders: 565,002
    • Stablecoin asset count: 43
    • Stablecoins market cap: $15,866,004,344
    • Stablecoin holders: 12,704,030

Solana network page, as of September 12, 2026:

    • Stablecoin market cap: $15.87B
    • Stablecoin holders: 12.70M
    • Stablecoin 30-day transfer volume: $360.90B

Holder counts varied slightly due to live refreshes. Cite: Networks and Solana page.

Dated measurements from Solana’s RWA page and Tokens.xyz

    Solana real-world-assets page, September 12, 2026:

    • $6.9B labeled “Tokenized value indexed”
    • 2,788 labeled “Assets indexed”
    • $297.9M labeled “24h RWA volume”
    • “24/7 market access”

Tokens.xyz aggregates on-chain representations across crypto, stocks, ETFs, treasuries, currencies, and metals. Its homepage includes crypto natives like Solana and Bitcoin. The Solana Foundation describes it as a fee-free public good with nearly 300 assets at April 2026 launch. Cite: Solana RWA page, Tokens.xyz announcement, Tokens.xyz.

Earlier Solana roundups cited RWA.xyz: $3.73 billion RWAs end-July 2026 with more than 313,000 holders; passed $4 billion by late August with more than 350,000 addresses. Cite: July, August.

    Why two dashboards can disagree

RWA.xyz excludes stablecoins from its Solana RWA total. Its separate stablecoin series showed a $15.87 billion market cap on September 12, 2026, which is larger than the RWA total and is not the same measurement. Tokens.xyz covers a broader set, including crypto tokens.

Dates shift figures: holder counts changed overnight. Solana's $6.9B lacks a timestamp.

Value types differ: NAV total versus market; distributed versus represented.

Activity metrics contrast: 30-day transfers versus 24-hour volume.

Counts vary: RWA.xyz catalogs products; Tokens.xyz canonicalizes assets. Holders sum, not dedupe.

Neither claims full coverage. RWA.xyz terms limit reuse to personal, noncommercial. Cite dated snapshots only.

What readers can and cannot conclude

Public Solana RWA metrics disagree for clear reasons tied to definitions. RWA.xyz showed $4.26 billion distributed, $126 million represented, $4.39 billion combined excluding stablecoins on September 13, 2026. Solana displayed $6.9 billion tokenized value indexed.

Holders and volumes reveal activity patterns, not just size.

Readers cannot conclude one official total for tokenized assets on Solana. Counts do not confirm transferability, reserves, or legal claims. Holders do not equal unique people. Volumes do not measure demand, trades, or inflows. No causal trends follow. No investment call.

    What to watch next

Track if Solana adds methodology and timestamps to “tokenized value indexed.”

Monitor RWA.xyz for changes to distributed/represented split, stablecoin toggle, holder sums.

Note issuer NAV updates and coverage shifts.

See if Solana roundups continue citing RWA.xyz and refine universe descriptions.
